Mathematics professor acquired the Master’s in teaching and methodology of mathematics in 1999 from the University of Athens.
He taught in secondary education from 1977 to 2010.
He was adviser to the Minister of National Education for Educational matters for the years 1990-1992.
Also appointed advisor to the Greek government for the formulation of immigration policy as President of IMEPO (2004-2010).
He is president to Hellenic Migration Policy Institute (NGO) (2011-Today)
In addition he taught at the National School of Public Administration, European Immigration Policy (2008-2009).
Organized dozens of international conferences on migration issues.
He participated as a speaker at conferences in Greece and abroad, organised by international organizations, universities, government agencies, European Union etc.
He was a founding member of several international studies on migration issues.
He is a member of the steering committee of non-governmental organization Metropolis based in Canada.
He was member of the steering committee of EnoP-European Network of Political Foundations(2016-2017). Since 2019 he is elected Vice Mayor at the Municipality of Nea Smyrni.

Elias Besevegis

Dr. Elias Besevegis holds a M.Sc. and a Ph.D in Developmental Psychology from Rutgers University, NJ. USA.
He has been the Head of the Department of Psychology, University of Athens, and Director of the Graduate Program on School Psychology of the same Department. He has taught – and still teaches- undergraduate and graduate courses in Developmental Psychology, Developmental Psychopathology, and Individual Differences, and has organised several conferences, both national and international.
He is the author of over 80 journal articles , book chapters and books, in Greek and in English. He is also the author or co-author of psychometric tools and the editor of textbooks and of special journal issues in Psychology.
His research interests include topics in the Development of Children and Adolescents, Behavior Problems, Individual Differences in Development, as well as topics in Cross-Cultural Psychology.
He is member of several scientific associations, national and international, and has participated in many Psychological Conferences in Greece and abroad.
Elias Besevegis is a Professor Emeritus of the University of Athens as of 2016.

IOANNIS FIKAS

Yannis Fikas is Professor of Philosophy & Anthropology. He taught Philosophy & Anthropology at the State University of New York/ Empire State College from 2014 to 2019 and Renaissance Philosophy in the Master Programme in Philosophy of the University of Athens from 2001 to 2008.
Holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Patras and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Athens.
He is the author of eight books with philosophical and anthropological content: The Myths of the Ancient World, Athens, M. Sideris, 2019.

Fenia Adamidi

Fenia Adamidi has graduated from the Department of Philology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
She holds a PhD Degree from the same Department, with specialization in Classical Philology and a Master Degree from the Department of Digital Systems of The University of Piraeus, with specialization in Digital Learning.
She has taught for several years Ancient Greek Literature, Ancient Greek Theater and Novel at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, at the University of Patras and at the Hellenic Open University.
She has served as a seconded teacher at the Ministry of Education where she specialized in issues concerning Secondary Education.
She has participated in a number of Conferences and Seminars and also in a number of Greek and European working groups, as member or as national representative.
Her academic work incudes translations and publications in scientific journals.
In her current position, she is seconded at the General Secretariat for Research and Technology as Associate of the General Secretary, while she has been elected city councilor at the municipality of Vrillisia.

NINETA POLEMI

Professor Nineta Polemi is an Associate Professor in the University of Piraeus (Dept. of Informatics) and Director of the UNIPI cybersecurity master & program.
She served(2017-2020) as Programme Manager and Policy Officer in the European Commission DG (CONNECT H1 Unit entitled ’Cybersecurity Technologies and Capabilities’).
She has obtained her Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics (Coding Theory) from The City University of New York (Graduate Center).
She held teaching and research positions in Queens College and Baruch College of The City University of New York, State University of New York at Farmingdale, ICCS-National Technical University of Athens, Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB)-Solvay Brussels School-.
She has over one hundred publications in cryptography, cybersecurity, secure and privacy aware services (e.g. e-immigration, e-maritime, e-government) and has organised numerous scientific and policy international events.
She has received many research grants from various organizations such as the Danish Research Foundation, MSI Army Research Office/Cornell University, IEEE, State University of New York (SUNY), and The Graduate School of City University of New York (CUNY).

Having worked of major multinational corporations in Greece, UK, Switzerland, Cyprus and the Middle East in industries such as Health Care, Real Estate, Postal Services, Hospitality, a substantial experience has been accumulated within different cultural contexts.
